Hmmm. You may be right. But if Abbas is able to move, we'll see what happens. It's quite possible that the Bush Administration's unwillingness to push the Israelis to do anything, ever, will scuttle a chance to make peace for a long time by discrediting the very idea of a negotiated settlement. The militants will gain ground if they're able to say "We told you so."
