To be fair to Condi (see, I'm trying to keep my pledge) -- it's right before her hearings. If I were her handler, I'd tell here there wasn't any percentage in a high profile pre-hearing interview you don't totally control.
Let's see how she handles the press after she's confirmed and has warmed Colin's chair for a week. Although I doubt al Jazeera will be at the top of her agenda. Maybe Le Monde or Corriere della Serra however.
