And speaking of doctrine
by
nadezhda
There's a rather neat French site -- Institute of Comparative Strategy and a couple of other French military research institutes -- that has the text of all sorts of articles, monographs and books on strategy, geopolitics and military history.
They also publish a journal. The site is in the links list in the sidebar STRATISC.org
Their site's been down for a while, but it just came back up and they've put up a tome on the influence of Clausewitz on American strategy since WWII, especially in the doctrinal changes after Vietnam.
They also have a fairly recent piece on the revolution in military affairs, especially its impact on NATO.
Looks very interesting if you're into that kind of stuff.
And appropos of the proprietor of a certain web site, Les limites de l'empire: La strategie romaine vue par Tacite.
